House Style: Eastlake

Charles Eastlake, an English architect, wrote a book in which this design became popular as a variation of Eastlake’s ideas on furniture design. The houses were not designed by Eastlake and it was said that he did not like them.

This Eastlake house features a turret with a nontraditional dome, open front porch, spindles that resemble furniture legs, and shingled Gable roof.
