From the Ferry to the Bridge….

While on vacation, I love to walk. I am not one of those people that wants to rent a car or take cabs. I like to see the city on foot so that I can wonder around when I see something that I peaks my interest. All of this walking is much to the dismay of my partner, J. He loves to tell stories of my forcing him to walk all over New York in the cold. Well, this weekend in San Francisco was no different.

I woke up bright and early on Saturday morning and drug J out of the bed. He definitely wasn’t too excited about the day of walking but he did want to see the sights. We eventually headed out to Union Square then hit the Frank Lloyd Wright Building. Then it was off to the Ferry Building and walking the Bay front all the way to Golden Gate. We meandered around the piers and parks but eventually made the 6 mile walk. Sun burns and blisters on our feet, I had a great time and J was completely worn out and ready for bed. Here are the pictures that I took along the way.

  1. I’m the same way when I’m in a new city. You see so much more on foot, that you would otherwise miss in a car.

I had so many blisters, as well as shin splints, the first time I visited San Francisco. Those hills are awful on the legs. It was so worth it though.
